Sunday, April 29, 2007 half way mark apparently i have about six months left to plan our wedding festivities. tomorrow i'm sending out the contract and the deposit to photographer. dj is pretty much set - he's definitely holding our date...we just have to sign the contract and give the deposit. i'm still iffy about the florist. the lazy side of me just wants to seal the deal with the first guy we saw, but the girly side is telling me to keep looking...i've got a specific theme in mind, and florist #1 doesnt seem to be cutting it. the search is still on for a videographer. we still have to purchase our invitations...we've picked them out, but we haven't put the order in yet. we havent registered either, and everyone seems to think its a very big deal...but i'm not looking forward to it. we still have to buy our rings. look for hair/makeup person. wedding jewelry. veil. favors. tuxes. bachelorette party. there are so many little details to tie up. i'm doing a polaroid guest book, and i've purchased all the film and the cameras, but i've yet to find the perfect guest book. my co-worker is going to design our monograms, but i've still got to make the programs and all the signs and favor tags. i've got 288 votive candle holders to decorate for the tables. i know there's tons of other things, i just can't remember anything right now. i finally graduated to level two yoga. yippee. :) 10:22 PM

Sunday, February 04, 2007 birthday number 29 this year i took my birthday like a man. usually i dread this time because i know that the inevitable is coming. but i decided to enjoy my last year in the twenties. it was a great decade. i'm going to celebrate it for the wonder that it was. entering "adulthood" at twenty. no longer being considered a teenager. celebrating "legality" at 21. liking 23 because it was michael jordan's number. thinking i was over the hill at 25. being in my late twenties and never feeling like an adult. now that i'm at the end, i can't complain about where i've been and what i've done. i'm about to embark on a crazy, new adventure and the best part about it is that i'll be doing it with the love of my life. i spent the first twenty-some-odd years of my life looking for direction and purpose and happiness. i've found that in another person and knowing that we are going to start a life together really does put things into perspective. my day started off great. i got a call in the morning from my brother and my nephew with birthday greetings. bles surprised me with tickets to wicked on saturday afternoon. i cant rave enough about it. it was so much fun and the play was phenomenal. starbucks in times square afterwards. then dave & busters later that night with everyone. birthday cake and then games. michelle and i spent the majority of the night playing the trivia quiz game. then bles and i played jurassic park for a half and hour - according to michelle who claims she spent that amount of time looking for us. all i remember is screaming and reloading because i kept dying every ten minutes. afterwards bles, greg and i played more of the trivia quiz game until it was time to collect our bounty. i tried to get everyone a little something, and michelle got me a birthday hat as my prize. all in all a wonderful night. i could not ask for more. thank you guys, for making number 29 unforgettable. 11:48 PM

Wednesday, December 06, 2006 busy bee i'm moving. my life is being packed away in bags and boxes. i don't know exactly where my residence will be, but i've never really had a solid residence since college. i've been a freakin nomad, moving from place to place, two places at once, living in my car, at my work...i'm kinda tired of having two or three of everything and would love to have a place for everything and everything in its place. i don't know when that will happen exactly, seeing as i am splitting up my possessions - half in englewood and half in jersey city. december is going to be a busy month. birthdays and holidays. christmas and new years with the whole family (mark & co. will be flying in for my mom's 60th bday bash and will be staying until the 2nd week of jan. yeay!). james will be meeting family and friends that he's never met before. i will introduce him as my fiance (bizarre). i took the last two weeks off from work to dedicate to my brother and nephews. i'm taking them to see the tree at rockefeller ctr., ice skating, jekell & hydes (because for some reason my brother wants to eat there), broadway play (i think grinch) and snowboarding at hunter among other things. 10:49 PM
